Chris Cowell has decades of experience as a software developer, corporate trainer, author, documentation writer, and philosophy teacher.
He started Tech at Your Pace after providing tech support to his parents when they were in their 70s, 80s, and 90s. He saw how technology helps seniors feel connected and involved, but also how complicated and frustrating it can be. It gets confusing—fast!
Chris is a native Oregonian who spends his non-work hours parenting, singing with the St. Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church choir in Portland, and volunteering for the Meals on Wheels Friendly Tech Visits program.
Chris is very knowledgeable about tech issues. He showed me ways to reduce memory use, so I didn't need to buy more. He also successfully had my sister maneuver through issues she had with her computer. The most important technique he used was to direct us to do things. He didn't take over the keyboard!
